Right after the Festival Weekend will follow the Fiesta Tango Week, which will take place throughout the Los Angeles's participating milongas. Miriam Larici, a festival director, is organizing this event in collaboration with Dance Into Unity.
Dance Into Unity is a non-profit corporation 501 (C)(3) dedicated to bring dance, music and arts programs to under-served population with a focus on individuals with special needs especially those affected with autism. All proceeds from the fiesta week activities will be used for this purpose.
Festival guests will have an option to stay at the Radisson Hotel Los Angeles Westside
for the same low rate as in Whittier Radisson - $99(+tax) (Radisson will provide assistance with transportstion if needed). To get this rate mention Tango Festival.
The hotel is located in the center of Culver City and within walking distance from great shopping and restaurants, one of which is right across the road from the hotel is the famous Promenade at Howard Hughes Center.
During fiesta week you will be able to visit milongas throughout Los Angeles. Each participating milonga will host a master-teacher couple where they will give classes and exhibitions. The Fiesta Week opening milonga will take place on Tuesday, November 18 at the Radisson Hotel Los Angeles Westside and will host two master-teacher couples.
The highlight and culmination of the Los Angeles de Tango's Fiesta Tango Week will be the Argentine Tango stage production "Tango Adamor" with all Festival master teachers - all of them are internationally acclaimed tango dancers.
The production "Tango Adamor" will take place on Saturday, November 22nd at 2 PM and and 8 PM at the Wilshire Theatre Beverly Hills, a Los Angeles historical building, fully renovated with very comfortable uprising orchestra seats for the best viewing.
A feast for the eyes, this Broadway style Argentine tango production, will bedazzle you with spectacular lighting, artistry, costumes, and pure entertainment. There is a special discount for the Festival Participants.
